Innovation Procurement Brokers
The Innovation Procurement Brokers (InnoBrokers) project aims to facilitate the procurement of innovative goods and services by strengthening the links between public buyers on the demand side and innovative companies on the supply side. Public buyers are supported in the identification of their needs and, once ready, connected with SMEs and start-ups able to develop innovative solutions responding to their requirements.
A total of five regional procurement of innovation broker schemes will be piloted in the Upper Austria Region, Denmark, North Rhine Westphalia (Germany), Ireland, and Andalusia (Spain), then scaled up to a European level.
The Big Buyers Initiative aims to combine the purchasing power of public administrations - bringing them together in strategic partnerships to maximise their market impact, lower costs, help introduce innovations into the market, and help scale-up good solutions. The initiative will also improve skills and capacities in professional procurement practice.
The European Assistance for Innovation Procurement (eafip) initiative supports public procurers across Europe in developing and implementing innovation procurement.
The aim of the eafip initiative is to promote good practices and reinforce the evidence base on completed innovation procurements across Europe and to encourage other public procurers to start new PCP and PPI procurements.
Procure2Innovate is a European network of competence centres for innovation procurement, which aims to improve institutional support for public procurers particularly in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT). It does this by establishing or expanding and competence centres for innovation procurement across Europe.
Competence Centres can support you as a procurer to increase your expertise and guide your implementation of innovation procurement, as well as help bridge the gap between public buyers and potential suppliers of innovative goods and services. Visit Procure2Innovate to find out more about potential support in your country.
LEA Learntech Accelerator
The LEA project aims to accelerate knowledge transfer, dialogue and awareness raising of innovative procurement within the learning techology sector by creating a European wide learntech procurers' network, and conducting the first cross border PPI in the education sector, and launching a new PCP.
Procurers, suppliers, learn tech experts and schools are invited to become LEA Followers in order to gain knowledge, access to free support to participate in innovation procurement calls and guidance on funding opportunities, and to network with other organisations in this field.
Initiated and co-ordinated by ICLEI, Procura+ is a network of more than 40 European public authorities and regions that connect, exchange and act on sustainable and innovation procurement.
The combined knowledge and experience of the networks participants allows it to provide advice, support and publicity to any public authority that wants to implement sustainable and innovation procurement.
