Join EWRC session on public procurement market engagement strategies
On 12 October AI4Cities and Procure2Innovate, two projects in which ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a partner, will team up with Urban Agenda to host the EWRC session “Public procurement specialists meet the market – market engagement strategies and the example of AI.”
Public authorities are increasingly realising that public procurement can be a strategic tool to drive innovation. A key aspect of a successful public procurement of innovation is to encourage innovative (small and medium-sized) companies to bid for tenders. This requires innovative approaches to market engagement.
These projects have all gathered practical experience in engaging the market such innovative ways and want to share their resources and knowledge with the audience. Their practical experience will be complemented by the scientific perspective of Willem Janssen, Associate Professor at the Utrecht University.
