Catalogue of good practices on innovation brokerage published

A new document highlichts good practices for innovation brokerage in public procurement. The document, published as part of the EU funded Innovation Procurement Brokers project, showcases five exemplary cases in Public Procurement of Innovation from the different InnoBrokers pilot projects. The good practice cases presented in the document encompass different stages of the brokerage service and focus in particular on pre-procurement planning and support, exemplary needs assessment process and market engagement methods.

The Innovation Procurement Brokers project aims to facilitate the procurement of innovative goods and services by strengthening the links between public buyers on the demand side and innovative companies on the supply side. Public buyers are supported in the identification of their needs and, once ready, connected with SMEs and start-ups able to develop innovative solutions responding to their requirements.

The Catalogue of Good Practices on PPI has been elaborated in collaboration with the InnoBroker project partners. A total of five regional procurement of innovation broker schemes are piloted in the Upper Austria Region, Denmark, North Rhine Westfalia (Germany), Ireland and Andalusia (Spain).
