Further €56m EU funding to support innovation procurement projects

The European Union  is currently accepting proposals for projects in the innovation procurement area.

In total, €56m is available, including an open call for funding which offers 90% co-financing for pre-commercial procurements (PCPs) of ICT solutions (€6m), a health care call offering 30% co-financing for procuring digital innovative solutions for an aging society (€10m) and 90% co-financing for PCPs of next generation sequencing for routine diagnostics (€40m.

Horizon 2020 - one of Europe's largest ever funding programmes - aims to encourage research and innovation activities in Europe, for the development of smart, sustainable solutions to key societal challenges.
