The 'Startup in Residence Toolkit' gets presented
Startup in Residence (SiR) is an approach through which governments and innovative companies can work together on new solutions. The joint development and testing of new solutions and the focus on learning about innovation is the essence of this programme. In the Netherlands, many Dutch ministries, provinces, and municipalities successfully started their own SiR-programme.
Based on the learnings gathered, different SiR programmes have joined forces to develop the new Startup in Residence Manual. This Manual contains tips, tools and insights that come from the collective knowledge of 6 SIR editions in Amsterdam, and 15+ editions in the Netherlands. It is a step-by-step guide to set-up and run a SIR programme. It is a workbook with “how-to’s” per step, worksheets and insights from previous programmes and contains a library with useful attachments to inspire and motivate others to explore new ways of working, to set up and run a SIR programme or develop and/or expand an existing programme.
The presentation of this manual is taking place this Wednesday 25th of November. The first presentation is from 10:30 – 12:00 (Dutch), the second presentation is 13:30 – 15:00 (English). Those interested in joining, can send an email to startupinresidence@amsterdam.nl. Amongst the speakers, representatives from the City of Amsterdam, as well as from the Dutch Competence Centre for Innovation Procurement, PIANOo.
