3rd Annual Conference on Public Procurement

Registration is now open for the third annual conference on public procurement in Athens (Greece) on 20 June 2014. Hosted by the Greek Presidency of the EU in partnership with the EU Commission, the conference follows the recent adoption of the revised legislation on public procurement and the directive on e-invoicing in public procurement. It will look at the potential for increasing efficiency and preventing corruption offered by smarter e-procurement processes.

Smart procurement means lean and transparent procedures, less bureaucracy, a high level of professionalism, best value for money for public buyers and easy access for economic operators to public procurement. End-to-end e-procurement is an essential contributor to achieve these overarching objectives.

Participants are requested to register interest in attending by 15 May. Places will be confirmed by 20 May, with no charges for the conference workshops. Travel and accommodation expenses, however, must be covered by the attendee.
