Cutting waste...

Cutting waste...

The 15th Forum on Eco-Innovation and the UNEP Roundtable on Eco-innovation will take place on 13 - 13 November 2013 in Hanoi (Vietnam). The free forum will bring together key European and Asian players from the private and public sectors, technical institutions and intermediaries working with small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to unlock the potential of eco-innovation and resource efficiency to positively affect global food chains and reduce food waste.

The event will illustrate how resource efficiency and eco-innovation can contribute to a more sustainable food chain - focussing closely on food processing, packaging and retail solutions. The roundtable will highlight the drivers for tackling food waste via international cooperation, the innovative solutions for processing, packaging and retailing food, and opportunities for businesses to partner and network.

The event language will be English, and simultaneous interpretation will be available in Vietnamese. The event aims to create business opportunities for European and Asian participants and provide recommendations to policy makers to scale up eco-innovation and to increase the resource efficiency of the food supply chains.
