Smart Specialisation Strategies and the role of pre-commercial procurement
Procurers, suppliers, and other regional and European stakeholders are invited to a discussion session hosted by the Puglia Region Office in Brussels (Belgium) on 9 September. The event aims to promote regional experiences on pre-commercial procurement in the water sector in the context of EC initiatives to support innovation-oriented public procurement.
Representative of three different EC DGs will share their point of view on this subject and the intervention of DG CNCT will be focused on the recently launched European Assistance for Innovation Procurement (EAFIP) initiative. From 2015 to 2017, the initiative will focus on promotion, training and assistance to public procurers with a concrete interest in implementing innovation procurements for ICT-based solutions across the EU.
The event will include presentations by EC officials as well as reflections on Puglia's experience with PCP in the water sector, an open discussion session, and a networking lunch. The event is co-organised by the Puglia Region and the European Regions Research and Innovation Network (ERRIN). For more information, consult the programme below.
