Shortlisted Procura+ Awards candidates announced

The shortlisted Procura+ Awards candidates have been announced in all four categories: Innovation Procurement of the year with the subcategory Outstanding Innovation Procurement in ICT, Sustainable Procurement of the Year, and Procurement Initiative of the year. These Awards are supported by the Procure2Innovate project. 

The candidates shortlisted for the ‘Outstanding Innovation Procurement in ICT’ are CERN, Switzerland, for its innovative solutions for data intensive science; the National Weather Service in Germany for its innovation partnership for a hail sensor; the City of Helsinki, Finland, for its robotisation of intralogostics in the Central Libraary Oodi, and SELECT for Cities, for its urban innovation landscapes through pre-commercial procurement.

In the category ‘Innovation Procurement of the Year’ that recognised outstanding innovation of the procurement and the public authority as a launch customer, the shortlisted candidates are the City of Helsinki, Finland, for its sustainable innovation for a retro stadium; the Institute for Safety and Fire Service, Netherlands, for its innovation partnership for a new wildfire detection system; Lozano Blesa University Clinical Hospital, Spain, for its smart laundry and clothing management and production service, and the municipality of Frederiksberg, Denmark, for its innovation partnership for decentralised cloudburst management.

Finalists will be announced by mid August, and the Procura+ Awards Ceremony will take place at the Nordic Edge Expo on September 24.
