Innovation Procurement Exchange

By doing ‘innovation procurement’, the public sector can buy products which are totally new to the market, or even support companies to research and develop original solutions.  But for both buyers and suppliers, getting started with innovation procurement isn’t always easy – that’s why the Innovation Procurement Exchange is here to help!

The session will cover the state of the art in 4 areas:

• Expanding expertise in innovation procurement (Marlene Grauer, BME & Procure2Innovate project)

• Building bridges between public buyers and suppliers of innovation (Camilla Raagard Ernst, Gate 21 & InnoBrokers project)

• Combining purchasing power to maximise market impact (John Watt, ICLEI Europe & Big Buyers project)

• Meeting end-user needs through co-creation (Ellinor Walin, EU Projektkonsult & LEA project)

An 'Exchange' session will then take place, where any participant is invited to provide a 60 second 'pitch' about themselves and their activities, followed by world cafe table discussion.

The Innovation Procurement Exchange is a change for participants to get feedback on their procurement related pitch; actionable advice on ideas, news or problems; tangible, face-to-face connections with the other participants; and an opportunity to develop your conversations into a meaningful collaboration.  If you would like further information about hosting a table, please contact ashleigh.mclennan@iclei.org

The Innovation Procurment Exchange is taking place at Nordic Edge 2019.
